I hate to say I told you so, but ...

No, I don't. I fricking love it. Because I told you so. More than a year ago I wrote that the NCAA in general and Southern California in particular ought to be terrified that O.J. Mayo was being "advised" by Rodney Guillory.

USC coach Tim Floyd didn't want to hear about the Guillory connection. He never wants to hear about anything. Floyd is that ostrich who sticks his neck in the ground and then pleads plausible deniability. Tim Floyd didn't know nothing, you hear? He never does.

Meanwhile, the NCAA will have no choice but to take a good, long look not only at Mayo -- but also at the USC men's basketball program.

Stick around, NCAA. Make yourself at home in lovely Los Angeles. Take all the time you need.

You know what would be nice...an ounce of PROOF before the allegations continue to take on a life of their own. Nice to see that USC has yet to have anything proven against it, but there is no shortage of opportunistic posters to start crying for the guillotine. If it can be proven that these things did indeed happen and that anyone connected with the program had knowledge of them happening, then bring on the judge and jury. But if I'm supposed to give merit to anything that this guy writes, I'm sorry, bring at LEAST exhibit A with you before presenting your case. Tim Floyd may be of questionable character, but there are plenty of people in the business that can say the same for Doyel. And, as my exhibit A, I present that ridiculous hat he is wearing in the picture. With that bolstering my argument, I think I can rest my case now and win with ease. [ Reply to Comment ]

Hate on Doyel for being right, instead of fretting for your lakers who just lost two in a row. Also hate on CBS when ESPN broke the story. If I was an NBA team this should put up a major sign. Mayo has already surrounded himself with shady people, who is he going to hangout with once those millions are legit? Mayo is so overrated. I am so glad Beasley ended his college career with a blowout. The proof will follow shortly, just how Reggie Bush got figured out. USC needs to get hammered by penalties. Why do it to Kelvin Sampson and not Floyd. Even if he claims not to know he is the coach of the player. He knows his upbringing, and if things were there that shouldn't have been money wise then he should be fully accountable. A first round NCAA loss for possible scholarship or postseason ban.... just awful [ Reply to Comment ]
